Four Art Camps this Summer
Half Day 9-12 and 1-4 – Full Day 9-4
July Monday 16th – Friday 20th (5 Day camp – Half day €100 – Full Day €150)
July Monday 23rd – Friday 27th (5 Day camp – Half day €100 – Full Day €150)
August Tuesday 7th – Friday 10th (4 Days camp – Half day €80 – Full Day €120)
August Monday 13th – Friday 17th (2 places left in morning session)
Second or more siblings 60 euros per half day, 130 Euros per full day.
In July and August a series of children’s Summer art camps will be run at Ennis Art School. Each camp will run for five consecutive days and comprise of two sessions per day: 9:00 – 12:00 noon and 1:00 to 4:00 You can choose to send your children to mornings or afternoons, or for full days. Those staying the full day should bring a packed lunch.
The Ennis Art School Summer Camp is an opportunity to develop creative expression in a fun and educational environment. The students work indiviudally and in groups at the camp and the course will be structured in such a way as to promote growth and each of the students will be given the opportunity to learn areas that they would like to specifically learn. The student can choose from any of the artistic disciplines offered on this web page as a specific learning area that they would like to explore or develop.
The camps are designed with fun and art education in mind and include the widest range of activities from Sculpture (model making with clay) Painting (Acrylics, oils, patelles, coloured pencils, crayons, coloured paper, collage) Craft (making lamps with clay and shells, lino cuts, Batik) creating art from recyled material, needle craft and knitting, Design (Graphic design – designing logos, t-shirts) Digital Photography
As the week is divided into morning and afternoon sessions, each student can choose from up to ten different activities to experiment with over the duration of the week. These activities include:
1: How to paint Landscapes
2: How to paint Seascapes
3: How to paint Portraits
4: How to make collage
5: Drawing with pencils, charcoal and conte. How to use: colour tones, shading, light source, composition.
6: Crayon Art
7: Sculpture modelling, with synthetic air drying clay, Daz and Fimo clay, creating small animals.
8: High and Low Relief Modelling
9: Origami Mobiles and Jewellery
10: Paper Mache Modelling
11:How to design and make a Clock
12:Jewellery making
13:Digital Photography, basic Photoshop techniques.
14:Graphic Design incorporating – Logo Design, digital photography and photoshop
15:T-Shirt design – (please bring 4 white t-shirts)

19: Soap Carving
20:Animation (This will take the full week and incorporates drawing, collage, painting, model making, computer design and computer animation, using Photoshop and Director)
July 23rd to 27th is now dedicated to animation only, we will be using creating clay or plasticene to create the characters.
21: Film Production (Software, Cinestream and Director.
22: Venetian Masks
